AZ USSSA Fast Pitch - Tournament Rules
- USSSA rules will be used. USSSA Fast Pitch rulebook is available on line at www.usssa.com.
- All team managers must check in prior to the first game.
- Teams MUST enter their roster on line at www.usssa.com, print down a copy, get signatures, and submit online before the tournament.
- Game time is forfeit time. A team must have at least 8 players to start a game.
- Home Team: Flip for home team in pool play. Bracket games will allow the higher seed to be home team. If the two teams have the same seeding a head to head tie breaker will be used. If the two teams have not played each other home team will be decided by coin flip.
- Be prepared to play 15 minutes early, prior to scheduled game time
- Pool Play games will have a 1 hr 15 minute time limit. No new inning shall start after time has expired.
- Bracket games will have a 1 hr 15 minute time limit except for the Championship Game which will be 1 hr 20 minutes. No new inning shall start after time has expired.
- Pool Play may end in a tie.
- International Tie Breaker will be used in bracket play if tied at the end of regulation or time has expired.
- Mercy Rule:
- 15 after any inning
- 12 after 3 innings
- 10 after 4 innings
- 8 after 5 innings
- Please refrain from any player recruiting at all USSSA events. Failure to comply could result in forfeiture of games.
- Please be reminded that the Blue Ghost bat and the DeMarini Prism bat are not a legal bat for USSSA tournaments. Penalties will be assessed when a player steps into the batter’s box. Simply put, all bats must have USSSA stamp in order to be legal.
- Bracket seeding will be determined by best record during bracket.
- Tie Breakers (Pool & Bracket):
- Head to Head Competition (2 teams tied)
- Least Runs Allowed (if 2 teams still tied after #1 or 3 or more teams tied and max. 8 runs per game)
- Most Runs Scored (max. 8 runs per game)
- Coin Toss
